These are the most basic of techniques taught to all academy students, and the fundamentals of a ninja. These all count as freeby jutsu, so you may add as many as you wish to your jutsu list (although if you are within the student rank below E-1, you may only have these jutsus).

Description: A Technique which allows a a ninja to take a cloak or a piece of cloth to blend into an object, making themselves "invisible". However, the effectiveness of this technique in the hands of students is less then satisfactory as anyone not distracted can see through the disguise easily.

Description:  A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It is a basic technique. The clones may not dissipate when they come into contact with something.

These clones may be easily distinguished by persons with Döjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish clones from the original since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with movement. Also, due to the intangible nature of the clone/s, anything thrown at them will pass through them, another way to check which one is real.

Description: A basic technique taught at the Academy which allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. This is done by applying a small amount of chakra into the bindings, loosening them enough to escape from them.

Description: A technique which allows the user to replace their own body with another object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement. It is a basic, academy level technique, but it's capabilities are limitless.

Description: A basic, academy level technique which due to the diversity of missions a ninja can be tasked with, is considered truly priceless. The technique is typically used to transform one's own appearance into that of another person. However, one also has the ability to change into plants, animals, and even inanimate objects like weapons or stones.

When used by a skilled ninja, the transformation would be exactly like the genuine article, whilst a more inexperienced user's transformation will have obvious discrepancies.

The transformation technique is the considered to be the most difficult of the E-Ranked techniques as it requires a constant emission of chakra whilst mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would most likely be interacting with their environment, a combination which places mental strain on the user. It is generally said that the best way to determine if it is a transformation or not is to cause this strain upon the possible user; however this is not always successful. Also, anyone two tiers above you will be able to tell that you are performing a transformation and one tier above may suspect something is wrong.
